Meet Your Coaches!

Or rather, meet the family!  Many of you already know us, but we'd like to take a moment to introduce ourselves to our Avery Youth Leagues!  Archery is our passion and we look forward to sharing it with our fellow archery students!

Head Coach: Paulette Mastin-Gunder

Coach Paulette started participating in Archery in 2008 and became a USA Archery certified instructor in 2011.  Coaching MHEA Archery leagues from 2011 through 2015, she helped to grow their program from an average of 10-12 participants per year to over 65 students participating through their leagues in the 2014-2015 league season.

Her archers hold 7 of the 8 possible Compound Youth Archery State Records for the state of Tennessee.  For the 2015 Tennessee Archery Association State Indoor Tournament, she had a record 28 student archers participate; with 19 of those placing either first, second or third in their class.

Coach Paulette is a multi-year TN State Indoor Champion and placed 9th in the nation for her class at the 2014 NFAA Indoor Nationals.  She also enjoys traveling to participate in 3-D tournaments throughout the Southeast through ASA.

Coach Paulette is looking forward to an exciting 2015-2016 archery season, and her new affiliation with Avery Outdoors will bring some exciting opportunities for 2-D and 3-D archery that were previously not available to archery league students in the area.  Tournaments are also available for archers this year who are interested in competitions.
