October League - Changes in Dates

Hi Everyone!

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone back at the range for our 3-week leagues in October!  Just a quick update here to let you know about the change in dates for October leagues.  Dates for leagues will now be as follows:

Fridays:  Starting on October 9th, 16th, and 23rd.

Email newsletter with this change has also been sent out.

If you know you are not going to be able to make part or all of this 3-week league, please let the Coach know!

Remember, Avery is open Monday through Saturday if you want to go for some extra practice between league dates!

September League starts on 9/4/2015!

Just a quick reminder to our new and returning students that our September 3-week leagues get underway this Friday, September 4th!  League times are 2:45 - 4:15 and 4:30 - 6:00 PM.  I sent a reminder email today to everyone registered for the class and also listed the students and their assigned league time.  If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch.  I look forward to seeing everyone and welcoming our new archers from last week's Safety Class!

Fall Archery Season Underway!

Our returning students got our Fall Archery Season underway on Friday, August 14th at 2:45.  We had a great time getting to see friends and shoot some archery in a great facility.  Thanks to all who came to make our first day a great one!

If you are a new archery student who would like to join us for leagues this fall, time is running out to sign up for our fall classes.  There are only a very few slots left for our leagues and for our 1st Safety Class on Satuday, August 29th at 1:00 p.m.

You can get all the information about our leagues - dates, times, costs, etc., in the Parent Information sheet to the right of this posting.  There is also a registration form that is quick and easy to complete.

Early League Spaces are Filling Up Quickly!

Thanks to all my dedicated returning archery students and to all the new students who have signed up for our 2015-2016 Avery Archery Leagues!  

There are only 6 open slots for our 2:45 pm - 4:15 pm class - so if this is the class you are hoping for, you definitely need to register quickly!

There are also slots still available in the 4:30 to 6:00 league for ages 9 to 18.

I will be sending out the Sports Fee Invoices ($10) this weekend to all who have registered. For my new students who have registered, I'll also be sending out the invoices for the first Safety Class on August 29th ($40), so everyone should look for those to show up in your email.

If you haven't already, also consider joining our Facebook page - just click the link on the right-hand side of this website and "like" the page so you'll get our updates.  I'll also add everyone to my MailChimp newsletter list, because I use newsletters to keep everyone up to date as well.

Launching Avery Outdoors Memphis Youth Archery League!

Welcome to the home of the Avery Outdoors Memphis Youth Archery League!  We are very excited to get our 2015-2016 season underway this fall.

Leagues will get underway in August with a 3-week refresher league only for returning students.  Our official season opens for all students in September 2015 and runs through April 2016.

This year holds some exciting new opportunities for us in our affiliation with Avery Outdoors, including indoor paper target practice, indoor 2-D target and 3-D target practice and as well as some field archery next spring.  We'll also have some concentrated practice for indoor and outdoor tournaments for those who choose to participate.

These leagues are not affiliated with the MHEA Archery Leagues and MHEA membership IS NOT required to participate in these leagues.

If you look to the right on this page, you'll see our 2015-2016 Parent Information Sheet which has all the information you need to know about the leagues this season.  It has the dates, costs, requirements, etc. and will be updated as needed throughout the season.  ALL PARTICIPATING FAMILIES ARE REQUIRED TO REVIEW THE PARENT INFORMATION SHEET.

ALL STUDENTS, Returning or New, need to complete the Registration Form that can be found on the right-hand side of this page if you would like to reserve a place in this year's archery league. Space is strictly limited to 48 archers this season, and spots will fill quickly. Now is the time to register if you know your student plans to participate.

If you have not participated with Coach Paulette for archery before and are interested in joining us this year for the first time, in addition to completing the Registration Form, it is mandatory that you also sign up for our 1st Safety Class that will be held on Saturday, August 29th from 1:00 PM - 3:30 PM.  All students participating in league must take a one-time safety class from Coach Paulette before joining leagues.

Participation in our leagues does not require that you already own a bow - we do have bows for rent during leagues and we can work with you to ensure you get just the right equipment for your archer should you decide to continue forward with a bow purchase.
